Biography
Since she can remember, Hayley SIngley Kirkland loved to be on stage. She sang barbershop music with her family around town by the age of 4, but moving from a small California town to L.A. at the age of 12 brought her many more opportunities to develop her talents.
She was classically trained, but found her love of jazz at 16 when she discovered Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis and Oscar Peterson. She began to play gigs at coffee shops and weddings in high school with a combo.
Her passion of music was only amplified when she moved to Utah and attended Brigham Young University where she studied vocal jazz with Kelly Eisenhour. She was the featured soloist in Kelly’s choir BYU Jazz Voices in the IAJE conference in New York City.
She has had many opportunities to perform live and spend time in the studio. She recently recorded a national commercial for Hyundai, sang the "National Anthem" and "God Bless America" at the Dodger stadium, recorded and toured Europe with Ray Smith's big band Synthesis, and was featured on KJZZ TV's Cooking Delight as part of the Rob Bennion Band. She also recorded national commercials for Folgers, Sprint, Comcast and Coffeemate.
While Hayley primarily works in Utah, Idaho, Nevada and California, she also travels around the country to perform. She can be hired for private parties, wedding receptions, corporate or other special events. Hayley’s Utah client list includes Ballet West, Xango, Tahitian Noni, Snowbird Ski Resort as well as many other smaller companies and private events.
